Simple OCR

Scan Latin Characters from image captured using your camera or from an image in your gallery. The scanned text can be copied and pasted in other applications for further processing.

It is based on machine learning and is fast, accurate and easy to use.

- For accurate recognition of text, the input images must contain text that is represented by sufficient pixel data. Ideally, for Latin text, each character should be at least 16x16 pixels.

- As example, to scan a business card that occupies the full width of the image, the image size should be at least 640x480 pixel. To scan a document printed on letter-sized paper, a 720x1280 pixel image will be required.

- Make sure the image to be scanned has acceptable focus. An out of focus image will degrade the performance of the application.

- If your image is of higher resolution, the application will take time to scan and process text from the image. It is advisable for the image to be in a suitable resolution for the text in the image to be scanned efficiently.
