SLR Diamonds

Everything that is vintage, finds it's roots in the pages of history, where the people of now draw inspiration from.

Belonging to a time when labour was hard, time was difficult and the process of trading for - and even making jewellery items was a tedious one, SLR on account of Shri Jagannath Agarwal, has it's strong roots in the archives of history. Almost close to completion of a century, SLR has been in the service of royal families and their subjects; providing them with gold and silver jewellery works with the most artistic finish. It was only in 1933 when two of the forefathers of the present SLR family - Shri Kamta Prasad Agarwal and Shri Sunder Lal Agarwal, recognised the need to settle down with the family’s very first retail store, as until then - everyone belonging to the Agarwal clan had invested time and effort in moving from place to place to build relations and widen the scope of trade. The ceaseless efforts of these two visionaries gave rise to SLR Jewellers, and it is from them that SLR gets it's name: Sunder Lal Ram Raghuvirlal Jewellers.

Furthermore, as the only store of the time that served all - from the likes of the royal families of Ayodhya, Balrampur, Mankapur and with firm equality; the general masses - SLR steadily became the only store within a total area of a little over a 100 kms that had artisans and craftsmen from Surat, Calcutta, and other places. It was without a doubt that SLR, with it's maintained royal standards has beautifully managed to pass on this legacy for more than a century! This legacy has also been shared by doing good works of charity: by establishing a trust that is focussed towards helping families who are socially and economically backward and under developed. Over and above this, the foundation of Kamta Prasad Sunder Lal Saket PG college; an educational institution named after one of SLR’s pioneering forefounders, ensures to help students to pursue their choice of degree and in turn develop a healthy attitude.

After finding their stronghold in the fields of making and trading in gold and silver, they soon ventured into the much broader and complex stream of dealing in precious and semi-precious stones which are in turn embedded into finely crafted jewellery. For every type and tradition there is under the Indian sun, SLR has captured it's place in the market by showcasing its mastery in kundan, polki, meenakshi and furthermore into the dazzling world of diamonds, rubies and emeralds.

With pride, SLR announces its grand entry into the digital world where it seeks to raise the bar of the already existing forms of jewellery and looks forward to adorning more people with its showcased finest jewels.
