SMS Backup FREE

SMS Backup FREE is a very simple app that saves your SMS text messages to a XML file in your Android device.

NOTE:

Only Text SMS messages are stored, no MMS messages are backed-up. Also, you must take the resulting XML file to any other place so if your device gets lost or damaged you don't loss your backup.

This app IS Ad-supported.

About permissions:

- Contacts: is needed to relate each message with it's contact in the device. This info is not sent outside the device by the application, but it's included in the backup file.

- Internet: needed for displaying Ads. Again: This app is Ad-supported.

- Status and device info: Information about the device, such as brand, model, Android version, etc.), so we can give better support. Doesn't include: device phone or serial numbers, IMEI, or data to identify the user.

- Location: we collect Coarse (not Fine) location info, just to determine: City, State and Country (for statics)
