STAARR stands for sport, traumatology , arthritis, arthroscopy , replacement and rheumatology.

Staarr is an exclusive centre dedicated to the treatment of joint related disorders with special emphasis on knee and shoulder joints.

What are its aims and objectives?

Living in pain due to an injured joint or a degenerated joint due to aging or disease can make life a living hell for an individual. The traditional attitude of living with the pain due to the distrust with the treatments that were available in the past is fast changing. STAARR centre aims to give world class high quality treatment for elite athletes as well as regular individuals with injured or diseased joints to get them back into the sport and life they love ; in short ”live life to the fullest”!

Exclusive focus on joint related diseases be it sports or arthritis be it post traumatic , degenerative or immune mediated from diagnosis to cure in a comprehensive manner .The rehabilitation is achieved either through trained physiotherapists or the traditional ayurvedic methods scientifically imparted at associated centres.

Meet Dr.George Varghese

Dr.George Varghese is Founder and Managing Director of the STAARR orthopaedic medical center. He is a surgeon, inventor and entrepreneur whose breadth of experience spans from healthcare to technology. He has qualified M.B.B.S & MS from Manipal University. He has completed a fellowship in Arthroscopy and Adult reconstruction from Melbourne university, Australia and a orthopaedic advanced arthroscopy fellowship at Chicago, USA.
