Bowen Library Mobile Application is the Bowen University Library App; the aim is to give our users access to the library via their mobile phones. This application was developed as a result of the high premium placed on digital technology for services and operations by the University; therefore, the University library deemed it fit to go in this direction by bringing the library to the staff and students through the App, which will enable them to access the library services with ease.

Key Features

• Free signing in

Signing in to the App allows you to access the library catalogue, e-resources, Institutional repository, library portal and a chat with Librarian.

• Library catalogue

You can access the library catalogue to find books and other materials from the library; you must fill out a library registration form to enable you to borrow physical books from the library. You can also view your borrowing history if you have been borrowing books in the library. There are other features like renewing books without necessarily coming to the library.

• E-resources

Access to the electronic databases is possible once you sign in to the App; you can access all e-resources subscribed to by the library.

• Institutional repository (IR)

You can find academic staff publications, theses and other University publications by clicking the IR. Access to pass question papers from various programmes is also made possible.

• Library Portal

You can link to the library portal through the Library app.

• Chat with Librarian

You can make enquiries via our chat feature. The chat feature allows prompt responses from the library to your queries.
