Nutritional Composition Tables of Foods Consumed in Brazil, in which are identified, for each 100 grams of edible part of the foods and preparations, its components - energy, macronutrients and fiber; fats and sugar; minerals; and vitamins.

The bank generated with the data reported by the informants about the ingestion of the different foods consumed in the home or outside it, in the urban and rural areas of the whole Country, and other sources of consultation, such as the Brazilian Table of Composition the University of Minnesota's Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR) database, technical-scientific publications and food labels.
