Re-engineered for better background operation.
Previous versions used a "Foreground Service" which Android dislikes due to its impact on the device battery. This version uses a sequence of timed alarms for audio playback when your device is switched off or busy on another task, using less battery power.

v6.0 also has the ability to start the timer using a remote media button or the volume up/down on your device, making it easier to repeat the same timer.

Added code to point the user to Battery Optimization if a background crash is detected. This release seeks to remove problems when running timers in the background. Any problems that persist are likely due to Android's battery optimization, and if a crash is detected, the user is advised to "un-optimize" this Talking Timer app when it is next run.

Minor update to v4.0 aimed to address a load timing issue experienced in that release.

v4.0 release notes:
Added option to play the audio on either the Alarm channel or the Media channel. This potentially gets around reported problems of the timer not being audible over earphones, and becoming silent when the device is in Do Not Disturb mode.
Also added an option for audio ducking, so any background audio that might be playing is reduced in volume while announcements are made by the timer.
