Aether is a private-by-design place for conversations, communities, creators and live moments—all in one beautifully personal app.

PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS

Chat one-to-one or create groups with the people you trust. Send text, photos, videos, files and voice messages, reply and react, use disappearing messages, and make voice calls when available. Supported private message content is end-to-end encrypted on your device for its authorized recipients. Ordinary delivered messages are removed from Aether’s relay after confirmed pickup, while readable chat history stays on your device.

GROUPS AND CHANNELS

Build anything from a close group to a public community. Manage members and roles, invitations, join approvals, rules, welcome messages, topics, slow mode, member posting and shared media. Creators and teams can use Channels for broadcasts, moderated communities and aggregate audience insights.

SPACE AND STATUS

Create a unique Space alias that keeps your public presentation separate from your private DM handle. Share posts and status updates with text, photos, videos, polls, Q&A and RSVP cards. Browse For You and Following feeds, discover videos, follow creators, like, comment, reply, reshare, save posts and add highlights to your profile. You can choose whether each alias accepts private chat requests.

LIVE COMMUNITY

Watch public Live rooms or join private rooms shared with selected contacts. Eligible hosts can go live now or schedule a room, invite guests, manage stage requests, use comments, reactions, captions and activities, receive Aether gifts, and explicitly record a replay for later publishing. Live recording is off unless the host starts it and viewers are notified.

CREATOR TOOLS

Creator Studio brings together audience analytics, Live tools and a flexible inbox. Organize requests into Primary, General or custom labels, connect conversations to channels, set greetings, office hours and away replies, and save frequently used responses. Eligible creators can track gifts and earnings inside Aether.

PRIVACY YOU CONTROL

Choose exact-handle discoverability, message requests, per-alias Space chat requests, online status, typing indicators, read receipts, voice-call availability, quiet hours and default disappearing-message timers. Block or report from conversations, profiles, Space posts, comments, Channels and Live. Delivery and upload controls help you review queued items and retry failures.

Optional encrypted Cloud Backup can restore limited account setup—including your handle, contacts, groups, channels and messaging identity—using your recovery code. It does not store readable private chat history. You can also review retained account data, clear cached media, transfer your active account to another device, export available account data or delete your account.

COINS AND MEMBERSHIPS

Eligible adults can purchase Aether Coins through Google Play to send gifts and use supported creator features. Optional Hercules and Njord memberships add cosmetics, profile badges, themes and higher-quality media processing. Purchases never grant identity, age, trust, moderation or safety privileges.

Aether is for ages 13 and over. Feature access can vary by age, safety state, verification, region, device and service availability.
