What is WikiRacing? — The Free Wiki Race Game

WikiRacing is a free wiki race game where the goal is to navigate from one Wikipedia article to another using only internal links — as fast as possible and with the fewest clicks. Start from an article like Chocolate and find your way to French Revolution by clicking through Wikipedia's millions of interconnected pages. No download, no login required.

How to play the Wikipedia racing game

Choose a start article and a destination article, then click through Wikipedia links to reach your goal. Every click counts — the fewer clicks and less time you use, the higher your score. WikiRacing runs entirely in your browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile.

Tips for WikiRacing

Think in categories, not direct connections. When stuck, navigate to a broad hub article — countries, historical periods, or scientific fields — rather than looking for a direct link. From major hubs, you're usually one or two clicks from any target article.

Why WikiRacing?

Wikipedia contains over 60 million articles connected by millions of internal links. WikiRacing turns this vast network of knowledge into a competitive game. Every race is a journey through human knowledge — from astronomy to gastronomy, from ancient history to pop culture. It's the famous Wikipedia "rabbit hole" effect, turned into a sport.

WikiRacing is similar in spirit to classic Wikipedia navigation games like Wikispeedia, The Wiki Game, and 6 Degrees of Wikipedia — but with real-time multiplayer, ELO ranking, and 11 languages. Whether you call it a wiki race, a Wikipedia speed run, or a wiki link game, the goal is the same: get there faster and smarter.

About the ELO rating system

The ranked duel mode uses an ELO rating system (K=32) where every player starts at 1000. Win a duel to gain points, lose to drop. The global leaderboard ranks all players by rating. ELO floors at 100, so you can always come back stronger.

WikiRacing — the free wiki race and Wikipedia speed run game

The concept of racing through Wikipedia links has existed since the early days of the encyclopedia. WikiRacing brings this into a modern, competitive format: real-time multiplayer for up to 5 players, daily challenges, an ELO ranking system, and a worldwide community of players across 11 languages and Wikipedia editions.
