About The Short Story

This is a story about a boy named Davey who is a senior in high school.

This is a story about a boy named Davey who is a senior in high school. Davey is a typical high school student, but he's the only one who is worried about his future. He's not worried about grades or SATs, but what to do after high school. He has a love for English and writing, but he doesn't know what to do with it. He's been looking for jobs, but can't find anything that suits him. He gets frustrated with his lack of direction and the thought of going to college to get a degree in something he doesn't want to do. One day, he's walking home from school and sees a girl walking with her friends. He thinks she's cute and decides to introduce himself. They get to talking and he asks her if she knows what she wants to do after high school. She says she wants to be a writer. Davey asks her what she wants to write about and she says she wants to write novels. Davey asks her what kind of novels and she says she wants to write short stories. They get to talking and she tells him that short stories are the way to go if you want to be a writer. She also tells him that he should write short stories because he loves English and writing. Davey gets really excited about this idea and goes home to start writing short stories.
