Star Rail is an epic sci-fi RPG from miHoYo featuring a vast and dangerous universe.
Honkai: Star Rail's latest update, Version 3.2: Through the Petals in the Land of Repose, is set to launch on April 9, 2025. This update introduces new content, including a Trailblaze Mission and two additional Amphoreus areas. To celebrate the game's anniversary, players can receive a free 5-Star character, either Ruan Mei or Luocha. The update also features new and returning characters in its banners, with Castorice and Anaxa being the two new 5-Star additions. The patch includes various anniversary events and rewards, making it an exciting time for players.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Release Date & Time
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 releases on Wednesday 9th April. It should follow the usual maintenance schedule and release at 4am (BST). Due to time zone differences, 3.2 actually released in the United States on Tuesday 8th April at 11pm (ET).
For other time zones, the Honkai Star Rail 3.2 release date and time was:
- West Coast US: Tuesday 8th April, 8pm (PT)
- Central US: Tuesday 8th April, 10pm (CT)
- East Coast US: Tuesday 8th April, 11pm (ET)
- Japan: Wednesday 9th April, 12pm (JST)
- Australia: Wednesday 9th April, 1pm (AET)

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Banners
There are two new playable characters making their debut in the version 3.2 Banners: Castorice and Anaxa.
The first phase of the 3.2 Banner schedule kicks off with an exciting lineup. Castorice, a brand-new 5-Star Quantum attacker, takes center stage on her Blossom to the Beyond Banner. Meanwhile, Acheron, Jiaoqiu, and Fugue return as 5-Star attackers on the Indelible Coterie Banner. Acheron specializes in Lightning attacks, while Jiaoqiu and Fugue harness the power of Fire, all belonging to The Nihility path.
All of the boosted 4-Star characters on these Phase 1 Banners are:
- Pela (Ice, The Nihility)
- Lynx (Quantum, The Abundance)
- Gallagher (Fire, The Abundance)
These version 3.2 Phase 1 Banners start on Wednesday 9th April and should end on Wednesday 30th April.
In Phase 2 of Honkai: Star Rail's version 3.2, two notable characters take center stage. Anaxa, a new 5-Star Wind attacker from The Erudition path, makes his debut on The Universe in a Seed Banner. Meanwhile, Dr. Ratio, a returning 5-Star Imaginary attacker from The Hunt path, is featured on his Panta Rhei Banner.
The boosted 4-Star characters on these Phase 2 Banners are:
- Dan Heng (Wind, The Hunt)
- Serval (Lightning, The Erudition)
- Moze (Lightning, The Hunt)
These version 3.2 Phase 2 Banners are expected to run from Wednesday 30th April to Tuesday 20th May.
In summary, all of the new and returning 5-Star characters you can Warp on during 3.2 are:
- Castorice (Blossom to the Beyond Banner - Phase 1): New 5-Star Quantum character of The Remembrance path.
- Acheron (Indelible Coterie Banner - Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Lightning character of The Nihility path.
- Jiaoqiu (Indelible Coterie Banner - Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Fire character of The Nihility path.
- Fugue (Indelible Coterie Banner - Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Fire character of The Nihility path.
- Anaxa (The Universe in a Seed Banner - Phase 2): New 5-Star Wind character of The Erudition path.
- Dr Ratio (Panta Rhei Banner - Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Imaginary character of The Hunt path.
In addition to these new characters, we're getting two new 5-Star Light Cones in 3.2's Brilliant Fixation Banner. The 5-Star "Make Farewells More Beautiful" of The Remembrance path, Castorice's signature, will run alongside her character Banner in Phase 1 of version 3.2. Then in Phase 2, the new 5-Star "Life Should be Cast to Flames" of The Erudition path, Anaxa's signature, will be on the Brilliant Fixation Banner, alongside his character Banner.
We're also getting a new 4-Star Erudition path Light Cone "The Great Cosmic Entrepreneur" as a reward from the Star Rail World anniversary event.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Events
The big anniversary update for Honkai: Star Rail in version 3.2 includes:
- New Trailblaze Mission on Amphoreus.
- New areas on Amphoreus - "Demigod Council" Dawncloud and "Dragonbone City" Styxia.
- Free 5-Star character - Ruan Mei or Luocha (claimable until the end of version 3.4). You can claim a permanent 5-Star instead if you don't want Ruan Mei or Luocha.
- Festive Gifts check-in event - 20 Special Star Rail Passes.
- 1,600 Stellar Jade, x10 Fuels, and a commemorative in-game card from your chosen character (sent out on on 26th April).
- Planar Fissure event for Planar Ornaments triple drops.
- Realm of Strange event for Relic triple drops.
- Oneiric Shard top-up bonuses refreshed.
- Customizable non-boosted 5-Stars on limited-time Banners (Seele, Blade, and Fu Xuan included in version 3.2).
- Exchange Shop for 5-Star characters and Light Cones (use Gold Companion Spirit Tokens as currency).
- Silver Companion Spirit Tokens now rewarded when you pull a 5-Star character you already have all of the Eidolons for. You get one Gold Companion Spirit Token for every two Silver Companion Spirit Tokens you exchange.
- Auto-Salvage feature for 4-Star and lower artifacts.
- Smart Discard feature for 5-Star artifacts.
- Birthday Cake design updated after 26th April.
In upcoming updates for Honkai: Star Rail, several notable changes are on the horizon. Version 3.4 will introduce buffs for characters like Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu, addressing power creep issues. Additionally, a new free limited 5-Star character will be available later this year. Version 3.8 promises a significant story update for Penacony, expanding and concluding key faction storylines involving the Masked Fools, Stellaron Hunters, and IPC.

In addition to this, we're getting four limited-time events during the 3.2 update:
- Star Rail WORLD - To celebrate Honkai: Star Rail's second anniversary, a business simulation event is being held. Players will manage a venue by employing strategic plans to generate funds, upgrade the venue, and recruit companions for support. As resources grow, new exhibition booths and assistants will be unlocked. The event offers exciting rewards, including the new 4-Star Light Cone "The Great Cosmic Entrepreneur‘’, Self-Modeling Resin, Stellar Jade, Tracks of Destiny, and weapon level-up materials.
- Seal Slammers - Get ready for a fun multiplayer mini-game event in Amphoreus, where you'll compete against others by aiming and flinging seals to win battles. This event will remain available even after the version 3.2 update concludes. By participating, you can earn exciting rewards such as the adorable Bubbles the Chimera pet, Self-Modeling Resin, Stellar Jade, Tracks of Destiny, and valuable weapon level-up materials.
- Morning Starlight - The combat event at Herta Space Station offers a thrilling experience with mechanics similar to the “Stellar Flare” and ”Stellar Shimmer” events. Players can utilize trial characters to tackle the challenges. The event rewards participants with valuable items, including Stellar Jade, Tracks of Destiny, Relic Remains, and essential weapon level-up materials.
- Annual Trailblaze Report - Starting April 26, 2025, you can review your personal stats from the past year of playing Honkai: Star Rail. This retrospective event offers rewards such as Stellar Jades, Fuel, and Credits, allowing you to reflect on your progress and achievements while earning valuable in-game resources.
