Tap the optional Floating Lens over any message in any app to translate it on the spot, or generate a quick AI reply. This feature uses the Android AccessibilityService API and is OFF by default — see the full disclosure below.

★ ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE — HOW TYPEAURA USES IT

TypeAura's optional Floating Lens uses the Android AccessibilityService API. It appears on your phone as "TypeAura Floating Lens" under Settings → Accessibility.

WHY IT IS NEEDED: No other Android API can read text that a different app has drawn on your screen. To translate the message you point at, TypeAura must read that text through the Accessibility API.

WHAT IT DOES — only when you tap the Lens:

• Reads the on-screen text at the exact spot you tapped, so it can be translated.

• If you tap "Reply", it also reads up to 2 messages shown directly above that one (300 characters each) so the reply suggestions make sense. It never reads contact names, phone numbers or profile details.

• Writes the one suggestion you choose into the input field you already have open. It never sends a message for you.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES:

• No background monitoring — it reads only at the moment you tap the Lens.

• No keystroke logging.

• Password fields and text boxes you are typing into are skipped in code.

• Nothing read by the Lens is stored on our servers.

• It never taps buttons, navigates apps, or changes any setting on its own.

The Floating Lens is 100% optional and disabled by default — TypeAura works fully as a keyboard without it. Before opening Accessibility Settings, the app shows a disclosure screen explaining exactly the above, and you can turn the service off any time from Settings → Accessibility → TypeAura Floating Lens. TypeAura is a general productivity keyboard, not an accessibility tool for users with disabilities.

★ PRIVACY FIRST

TypeAura does NOT log your keystrokes. Your typed text is sent for AI only when you explicitly tap an AI button — and it is never stored on our servers. No name, email, phone number, or ads tracking.
