This Tombstone continuously summons Skeletons and counts toward the Undead Trait, making her perfect for Undead compositions. When destroyed each round, Tomb Queen herself rises to join the fight. Echo Sage returns as the alternative Ruler on Starsteel Road, giving players a choice between two distinct playstyles this season.

- Returning Ruler
Echo Sage is back on Starsteel Road this season. Supercell reduced its HP because it was too tanky and dominant for opponents. Echo Sage originally launched in the January 2026 Merge Tactics update and players can unlock it by in-app purchase OR reaching 650 Trophies in Merge Tactics.

Goblin Cage unleashes Goblin Brawler when destroyed, and Magic Archer shoots arrows that reflect to nearby enemies. Boss Bandit and Firecracker introduce two entirely new traits to the game, expanding strategic possibilities for deck building and in-match decisions.
Boss Bandit (Boss Trait) – Dashes to targets 3-4 hexes away (double damage); darts back 3 tiles every few hits
Firecracker (Forest Trait) – Fires projectile that explodes in cone, damaging enemies behind target; knocks back 1 hex

Skeleton Dragon and Skeleton King received major Undead reworks with absorbing mechanics and summoning abilities.
Spear Goblins now fire wide-range spears without needing armor.
New Traits
Two additions expand the strategic depth of Merge Tactics, encouraging players to build around specific Trait synergies rather than relying solely on traditional card combinations and equipment choices.
Forest Trait grants invisibility and bonus Hit Speed to the lowest HP% Forest troop every few seconds, creating dynamic positioning opportunities.
Boss Trait is orb-exclusive and provides bonus damage and HP specifically for Boss troops.
