Wallbox Control for EVs

The app controls your wallbox directly in your home network, without a detour through a cloud wherever the wallbox allows it: start and stop charging, set the charging current and the energy to charge, schedule the start of charging.

Charge with the sun

• Surplus charging: the charging current automatically follows the PV surplus, with as little grid import as possible.

• Automatic switching between single-phase and three-phase charging on suitable wallboxes.

• Delayed start on sunny days and yield forecast from weather data.

• Home storage: priority for the car or the storage, boost from the storage. With many systems, the app also controls the storage itself.

Charge cheaply with dynamic tariffs

• SmartTariff: the app charges in the cheapest hours until the time you want, using EPEX spot prices, Tibber, Octopus or a night tariff.

• Charge planning for car and home storage, avoidance of price peaks and, if you like, feeding stored power back to the grid at high prices.

Keep an eye on the car

• State of charge (SoC) of many cars: Tesla, VW Group (EU Data Act), Stellantis, Renault and Dacia, Nissan, Kia and Hyundai, Fiat, via Tibber, OVMS or MQTT.

• Charge to a target SoC or a target energy, minimum SoC for spontaneous trips.

• Grid import limit: the wallbox is throttled or paused so that the grid import stays below a quarter-hour or instantaneous limit, e.g. for capacity-based grid fees or to protect the grid connection.

• Charge log with billing per car or RFID card.

• Remote control: one device at home does the control, other phones or tablets operate it, even when you are away.

• Widgets, screensaver display, voice output, backup to Dropbox, Google Drive or WebDAV.

• Available in English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Danish, Norwegian and Czech.

Local instead of cloud

The app talks directly to the wallbox and the inverter in your local network: faster, independent of third-party servers, and also reachable via access points or VPN. Only where a manufacturer offers no local access does it use the manufacturer's cloud.

Costs

The app costs about as much as a beer, once. PV surplus charging and SmartTariff are available as a subscription, monthly or yearly with a 14-day free trial, or as unlimited access. In return, the app is guaranteed free of advertising, spying and data collection. And if you are not satisfied, I will still refund your money after a few days.
