Welcome to WisdomMaps… the Future of the Past!

WisdomMaps are not “maps” in the usual sense, but a new way of laying out information in ways that show how the elements of history fit together in terms of cause and effect, meaning and implications, shared concept, historical parallels, and more. You’ll find some 4,000 maps on all aspects of the world’s story and its people and cultures, replete with multimedia that engage the viewer in ways that go well beyond the printed word. While presenting history in a uniquely inter-connected way, WisdomMaps also enables the viewer to “wander and wonder” through the maps in search of new interests that will create an enduring interest in history. As Socrates said, “education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel”, and for the learner, this could be the start of a fascinating journey into history and the world at large.
