What is XAPK file?

XAPK is an Android application package format. An XAPK file should consist of at least one APK file, which is the skeleton of the app, and an OBB file, which is the extra data file that keeps the app running. An XAPK's file name always ends in the file extension .apk. With our app, XAPK Installer, you can directly install all APK and XAPK files with one tap. Also, the latest version of XAPK Installer supports Split APKs(App Bundle) files installation. With this, it allows you to install the latest format of XAPK files. Just try it out! What is OBB? How does it work?

Google Play requires that the compressed APK that users download be no more than 100MB, Each time you upload an APK using the Google Play Console, you have the option to add one or two expansion .obb files to the APK, can be any format you choose (ZIP, PDF, MP4, etc.). Each file can be up to 2GB and it can be any format you choose developers can use XAPK file format to allow users download the APK file on Android without corruption.

APK is the acronym for "Android Package", which is a package file format most widely used by the Android operating system for distribution and installation of mobile apps and middleware.

The Android App Bundle is Android's new, App bundle to generate the various APKs that are served to users, such as the base APK, dynamic feature APKs, configuration APKs, and (for devices that do not support split APKs) multi-APKs

How to Install XAPK Files on Android Phone (Windows)

Step 1. Get XAPK (APK with OBB) file or APK ready. You can download XAPK file from APKPure and save them on your computer.

Step 2. Download Pure APK Install and open it on your computer.
Note: To finish XAPK/APK Installing, you need to enable USB Debugging on your Android device first, before plug your Android phone or tablet into computer USB port and get connected with computer via USB cable.

Step 3. Drag and drop XAPK, APK file, or "Open APK File" on your computer.

Step 4. Preview your App and select external SD Card or Android internal memory to install it. Then click "Install button" to start your XAPK/APK installation. You can also change this setting back before the current installation is started.

Step 5. It will take 3-5 seconds or more to finish XAPK, APK installation. If the XAPK (APK with OBB file ) size is larger than 1GB, you may need change the seconds into minutes
