Mary Idema Pew Library Technology Showcase - Grand Valley State University
XRGallery uses augmented reality (AR) to bring virtual objects to life in the Grand Valley State University - Mary Idema Pew Library. It allows faculty to upload their own 3D models and place them in real-world space for students to see in a shared experience. A virtual object can be placed in a specified location and once this location is visited, the virtual object will appear. The 3D models exist and can be viewed by anyone who visits these locations. This opens up doors for establishing new methods for learning and visualization.
