Your Pontypridd

The Your Pontypridd Business Improvement District (BID) was established in May 2016, following a successful ballot process in February 2016. The BID is a business funded and business led investment, lobby and campaign group, focusing on improving trade and footfall and awareness of local business in Pontypridd.

The BID is a business led organisation with the focus on three areas.

Welcome & Access - improving the experience for people living, working and visiting Pontypridd. Making Pontypridd town centre more attractive place to visit and making the town accessible and friendly for people of all abilities.

Marketing and Promotion - improving the offer of Pontypridd Town Centre through a series of events, and marketing campaigns. Helping to promote all businesses in the BID area via social media, radio and print advertising. The BID liaises with external partners such as the University of South Wales. We aim to attract footfall into the town centre by developing schemes to encourage customers to shop in Pontypridd.

Business Support - supporting both current and start up businesses, by engaging with them and identifying issues in the town centre. The BID look to develop schemes to reduce costs for businesses, and share knowledge through networking events. The BID also encourages businesses to make use of social media to help promote their business/brand.
