How to verify the authenticity of alcohol by barcode

Run the application and scan the bar codes from the excise label on the bottle. After that, the application will verify the data with the database of the EGAIS of the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation (FSAPR) and produce the result.

Troubleshooting

• Make sure your device has an internet connection

• Point the camera of the device alternately to bar codes from the excise label on the bottle. The application will notify you by vibration that the scan was successful.

• If the barcode is not scanned, try another bottle. The success of scanning depends on the quality of the camera and the lighting conditions, as well as the integrity of the barcode. Shabby and fuzzy bar codes can be one of the signs of counterfeit.
