Saint Spyridon of Trimythous is one of the most revered saints in the whole world.

The relics of Saint Spyridon rest in Kerkyra, in the temple of Agios Spyridonos, the doors of which are always open. Four times a year, the relics are taken out for religious processions, and once every six months they are “changed” (before Easter and on the eve of the saint’s day of remembrance, celebrated on December 12 (25)), that is, they literally change clothes and shoes. The fact of wear and tear of clothes and shoes on the relics of the saint has been scientifically confirmed, but not explained. Believers believe that he walks around the world a lot and helps everyone who asks, so his clothes wear out.
