Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said in his book “Madarij al-Salikin”:

The first: His saying: (And their prophet said to them, “Indeed, a sign of his kingdom is that the coffin comes to you, in which is tranquility from your Lord.” Al-Baqara: 248.

The second: His saying: (Then God sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers) At-Tawbah: 26.

The third: The Almighty saying: (When he said to his companion, “Do not grieve, for God is with us.” So God sent down His tranquility upon him and supported him with soldiers that you did not see.) At-Tawbah: 40

Fourth: The Almighty saying: (It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers, so that they may increase in faith with their faith. To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Wise: 4.

Fifth: The Almighty saying: (God is pleased with the believers, when they sell you under the tree, so he knew what is in their hearts, so he descended from the sins.

Sixth: The Almighty’s saying: (When those who disbelieved put in their hearts the zeal of ignorance, the zeal of ignorance, then God sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers: 26).

And the Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may God have mercy on him, when things got tough for him: He read the verses of tranquility, and I heard him say about a great incident that happened to him during his illness, and the minds are unable to bear it. This situation left me, and I sat down with no heart in my heart. I, too, Ibn al-Qayyim, tried to read these verses when the heart was disturbed by what it responds to, and I saw that it had a great effect on its stillness and reassurance.

That is why the Almighty told about its revelation to His Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and to the believers in places of anxiety and turmoil, such as on the day of migration when he and his companion were in the cave with the enemy above their heads. them on one. And like the day of Al-Hudaybiyah, when their hearts were troubled by the infidels’ control over them, and their entry under their conditions that souls cannot bear, and it is enough for you that Omar, may God be pleased with him, was weak for carrying it - and he is Omar - until God confirmed him with the truthful, may God be pleased with him.

Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, said: Every tranquility in the Qur’an is tranquility, except for the one in Surat Al-Baqarah.) End.
