Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Lawati al-Tanji, known as Ibn Battuta
Ibn Battuta, born on February 24, 1304 - 1377 AD in Tangiers (703 - 779 AH) is a traveler, historian and judge from the Louata tribe, called the Emir of the Muslim Travelers. He left Tangiers in the year 725 AH and toured the Maghreb, Egypt, Abyssinia, the Levant, the Hijaz, Tihama, Najd, Iraq, Persia, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Turkestan, Transoxiana, some India, China, Java, the Tatar countries, and Central Africa. And he contacted many kings and princes, praising them - and he was organizing poetry - and he used their gifts on his travels, and the nickname "Ibn Battuta" is a nickname given by the Franks to Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Tanji, and most people followed them.
