الداء والدواء

Ibn al-Qayyim addresses through this book the issues of the human soul and its roles, and charts ways to reform and recommend it, showing the meaning of sin, its causes and effects on the soul and society, and its consequences in this world and the hereafter, then he presented the successful cure for this disease, inspired by the directions of the Noble Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah in reforming souls and society. His treatment of this issue was characterized by accuracy and extreme objectivity, so he was a social scientist and a careful educator who knew the components, natures and tendencies of the human soul, and determined the causes of the disease that afflicted it, then proceeded to prescribe the appropriate medicine through the provisions of Sharia and its space.
