An imam, born in the year 1920 AD in the Al-Mansha’a Center in Sohag (Upper Egypt). He is one of the most famous Egyptian reciters of the Holy Quran.

Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi descends from a family of reciters of the Holy Qur’an. His father is Sheikh Siddiq al-Sayyid al-Minshawi, whose reading was famous in Egypt, Syria and London, and his uncle, Sheikh Ahmad al-Sayyid al-Minshawi, who was invited to read at the royal palace and refused to do so.

Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi completed the Qur’an at the age of eight in his village book, and then moved to Cairo to acquire the sciences of the Qur’an and readings at the age of twelve. And he began to read in mosques and forums until his fame spread and he was dubbed "The Reciter of the United Egyptian Republic."

Al-Minshawi was known for the beauty of his voice and his recitation, so several recordings of his recitations were made. He also read the Qur’an in Al-Aqsa Mosque, Kuwait, Syria, Libya... He participated in recording group readings with reciters Kamel Al-Bahtimi and Fouad Al-Arousi.
