Praying over the dead, which is well-known among Muslims as the funeral prayer, Islam has arranged for it a great reward, urged it and made it one of the rights of Muslims over each other. The dead is one of the sufficient obligations that a Muslim has for his Muslim brother, and if some perform them, the sin falls on the rest, and it is confirmed in the right of the relative, neighbor and friend.

Whoever attends the funeral of a Muslim and prays over the dead will have a carat of reward, which is the great mountain as stated by the Messenger of God, and whoever attends the burial will have two great mountains of reward.
