Social engineering may be used without relying on any technology and relying only on fraud methods to obtain private information from the victim. Social engineering is mostly done by phone or e-mail with the impersonation of an authority on social networking sites or a business that allows the fraudster or hacker to ask personal questions without raising suspicions of the victim.
