(Ijtihad and Renewal) is a quarterly magazine, issued by the Contemporary Research Center in Beirut, and it deals with the field of renewal in legal and legal jurisprudence.

The magazine was established in 2006 AD, headed by the editor-in-chief of Sheikh Haider Hoballah, and it has worked and is still contributing to the intellectual arena with new, bold and critical studies in the field of Sharia sciences related to Ijtihad and Islamic jurisprudence. The magazine dealt with many problematic and sensitive issues related to the science of usul al-fiqh, the science of hadith and men, comparative law, comparative legal studies between sects, new issues and the jurisprudence of the calamities and so on.

The magazine adopts the approach of opening the door to different opinions, as it proposes the opinion and the other opinion, and works to open a serious dialogue between the intellectual and renewed trends in the Arab and Islamic world at the level of Sharia jurisprudence. Extremely sensitive issues, and violated many of the jurisprudential results that were and still prevail in schools, universities and religious institutes to this day.

It is truly an interesting magazine, through which it can open new horizons for researchers, writers, and students of religious, legal and Sharia studies.
