About পদ্যগীতা

The Gita is a 3-verse Hindu scripture.

Bhagavadgita (song of God) or Srimadvagbdgita or Gita is a 5-verse Hindu scripture. It is a part of the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. Although the Gita has the status of a distinct scripture as well as a separate Upanishads. Hindus consider the Gita to be a profane word of God. Gita holds a special place in the history of Hinduism, philosophy and literature.

The content of the Gita is a conversation between Krishna and the Pandava prince Arjun. Just before the Kurukshetra war began, Arjun was confused by seeing relatives, friends and gurus in the enemy. During this time Krishna encouraged him to go to war by reminding him of the religion of Kshatriya warriors and explaining various types of yoga and Vedantic philosophy. Therefore, the Gita is called a brief reading of Hindu theology and a practical guide to the life of the Hindus. While explaining yoga, Krishna uncovers his "self-god" form and blesses Arjun with a worldview. Apart from Arjun, Sanjay had heard the Gita directly from Krishna's mouth (he had sworn by Vedavas to narrate the events of the war to Dhritarashtra), Hanuman (he was sitting at the top of Arjun's chariot) and Barvarik, the son of Ghatotkach who had seen all the events of the Kurukshetra war.
