Sher-e-Bangla Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque October 26, 183 April 26, 1972 Bengali politician. He was well known as a Bengali diplomat in the first half of the twentieth century. Sher-e-Bangla was known to the political circles and common people as the tiger of Bengal and Haq Saheb. He held many political posts, including the Mayor of Calcutta in 1935, the Prime Minister of undivided Bengal in 1938 and 1943, the Prime Minister of East Pakistan in 1954, the Home Minister of Pakistan in 1955 and the Governor of East Pakistan in 1958. He is one of the key leaders in the formation of the United Front.
