It is known that her earlier name was Mayadevi. \n Nilambike is the daughter of Siddharasa and Padma Gandhi, Siddharasa is known to have been a minister and nobleman of King Bijala. \n Nilambike Basavanna's second wife of a strong-willed surrender. The poets Harihara and Bhima call Basavanna's Madadi Neelambika Mai Devi. \n After marrying Basavanna, it is known that Nilambike gave birth to a son named Balasangayya, who did not live long. Baladeva and Siddharasa were both brothers of Basavanna's mother Madalambike. Basavanna married Gangambike who was the daughter of Baladevamantri. Later he again married Siddharasa's daughter Neelambike. \n When Nilambiki's vachanas are observed, it is known that she was a vachanakarti with a very unique personality. \n Apart from Akkamahadevi, Sharane Nilambike is the author of the most number of vachanas. 288 verses of her have been published. 'Sangayya' is her motto. Along with vachanas, Nilambike has also composed seven-syllable vachanas. What is more important is that she has also composed chronology verses. \n Ikyamantapas of Nilambike and Hadapadappanna are in Thangadigi. There are both Neelambike Eykyamantapa in Thangadigi and Neelamma's Katte in Thangagi Land. Neelamma fair is held here every year. A temple of Neelamma has recently been constructed outside the town. There is a sculpture of Neelamma inside the temple. There is also an idol of Hadapadappanna in Neelamma's Gudi. There is a sculpture of Madiwala Machaiyya in the courtyard of Neelamma's temple. \n
