"Home Appliance Notebook" is an application that allows you to manage your home appliances and operate the remote control.

■ What you can do with your home appliance notebook

[Use your smartphone as a remote control]

You can operate the TV and air conditioner connected to the same network as the home appliance notebook by remote control.

[Viewing the instruction manual]

You can directly access the instruction manuals and contact information for registered home appliances.

[Notice of warranty period]

We will notify you when the warranty period is approaching.

[Notification of recall information]

We will inform you that the registered home appliances will be posted in the recall information (information on collection, free repair, etc.) of the Consumer Affairs Agency.

[Three easy registration functions]

You can use 3 types of registration: batch registration of home appliances connected to Wi-Fi, label registration that AI automatically determines just by taking a label, and registration using a QR code.

In addition, it has the following functions.

・ Automatic security check for home appliances connected to the network

・ Register home appliance information with photos of warranty cards and receipts

・ Share information on home appliances with your family

■ How to register home appliances

There are three types of home appliance registration methods: Wi-Fi registration, shooting-only registration (label), and shooting-only registration (QR code).

[Register via Wi-Fi]

This function allows you to search for and register digital home appliances connected to Wi-Fi. (If you cannot specify the model number, please try )

[Register just to take a picture (label / QR code)]

You can easily register home appliances by simply taking a picture of the part containing the manufacturer name and model number of the home appliance (label, outer box, warranty card, receipt, cover of instruction manual, etc.) and the QR code attached to the warranty card.

It is also possible to select and register the manufacturer name and model name.

■ Remote control function

"Remote control function" for TVs (some models made by Panasonic, Sharp, Toshiba, and Sony) and air conditioners (models compatible with the ECHONET Lite standard) that are connected to the same home network as the home appliance notebook. You can use (* 1). This feature is provided by us and is not supported by manufacturers. For inquiries about this function and how to operate it on the app side, please contact us directly.

(* 1) Home appliances that cannot be connected to the network are not eligible.

■ Security check function

This function allows you to check the security of home appliance passwords and the presence or absence of software updates. You can check the result on the home appliance information details screen. You can set it from the pop-up displayed after installation or the setting screen. The details of each item are as follows.

[Password security]

For registered home appliances connected to the network, check if the device allows you to enter an ID / password, and then enter the ID / password (* 2) that can be easily guessed for these home appliances. By doing so, we can identify and estimate devices that may be used in cyber attacks.

(* 2) Those that have been used for cyber attacks so far, such as the same letters and consecutive numbers.

[Software update]

The information of the corresponding software update is displayed from the registered model name and version information.
