The New Punctuation and Combined Version was published in 1988 and revised by a team of biblical scholars, translation consultants, and editors organized by the United Bible Society. It is characterized by the use of general modern punctuation marks to replace the old punctuation used; as well as the use of modern general names of people and places, such as Shibanya to Spain. The copyright of the Union Version is represented by the Hong Kong Bible Society.
