Service Termination Notice

Hello, this is LG U+. We would like to inform you that the (old) U+tv remote control app will be discontinued.

▶ Termination Date

- November 24, 2025 (Monday)

After termination, you can use the remote control function on the U+tv Moa app. Enjoy the remote control function, content browsing, live channel viewing reservation notifications, and new/expiring coupon notifications.

*However, the tvG and UHD1 set-top boxes cannot be connected to the U+tv Moa app. Call LG U+ Customer Service Center at ☎101 to request a free replacement for your UHD1 or tvG set-top box. After the replacement, you can use U+tv Moa.

Service Introduction

- This smartphone remote control app allows you to control U+tv with your smartphone.

- Enjoy a smarter TV experience with various features such as channel switching, volume control, earphone listening, voice recognition, and text input. ※ Please ensure your set-top box is directly connected to the U+ Wi-Fi router. If you use a home gateway to connect your set-top box to the Wi-Fi router, you cannot connect the remote control app to U+tv.

Key Features

- Simple Remote Control: Simple remote control functions such as channel switching, volume control, and search.

- Search: Search content via text or voice recognition (only Clova search available. Netflix and YouTube not supported).

- Earphone Listening: Connect earphones to your smartphone to watch TV privately.

Supported Devices

- Supported Set-top Boxes: tvG, UHD, Woofer, Woofer IoT

- Supported Internet: U+ Wi-Fi router

- Supported Smartphones: Smartphones of U+, SKT, and KT subscribers.

(However, Wi-Fi access requires a U+ Wi-Fi router.)

U+tv Remote Control App Access Permissions

1. Required Permissions

- You must consent to the app's access to the following functions to use the service.

- Phone: Used to determine whether a call is active when using Earphone Listening. - Location: Used to find a list of available wireless Internet routers.

- Bluetooth: Used to connect U+tv and the remote control app when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

2. Optional Permissions

- You can still use the service even if you deny the following permissions:

- Microphone: Required for voice search.

- Photos and Videos: Access may be requested for system compatibility reasons, but these features are not used within the app. Your files will not be collected or transmitted.

- Music and Audio: Access may be requested for system compatibility reasons, but these features are not used within the app. Your files will not be collected or transmitted.
