About 35mm.online

English

VOD application with a unique collection of Polish cinematography in the highest quality!

35mm.online is a VOD service that aggregates Polish film content and presents the richness of Polish cinematography.

In the space of the 35mm.online platform, 160 feature films, nearly 500 animated films (including full-length films) and several dozen documentaries are waiting for users. All in full HD quality and digitally reconstructed versions. The digital reconstruction covers both the films that have become the pop culture canon (including "Kiler", "Chłopaki nie crying", "Nothing funny") and the obligatory positions of the classics of Polish cinematography by such directors as Andrzej Munk, Krzysztof Zanussi, Wojciech Jerzy Has or Jerzy Kawalerowicz. The 35mm.online film library also has a rich offer for the youngest, including the animated series of adventures of Bolek and Lolek, the Wawel Dragon or the dog of all time - Reksio.

In addition, 35mm.online users receive access to all editions of the Polish Film Chronicle, digitized in full HD quality, being a film record of 7 decades of events in Poland - from the 1940s to the transformation period of the 1990s.

The 35mm.online streaming platform will present a resource of nearly 4,000 reconstructed and digitized unique film materials of Polish cinematography, including:

- editions of the Polish Film Chronicle from 1945-1994,

- films of the Polish documentary school (including Andrzej Munk, Kazimierz Karabasz, Marcel Łoziński, Andrzej Titkow),

- animated films of high artistic value (e.g. by Witold Giersz, Jerzy Kalina, Mirosław Kijowicz, Andrzej Czeczot),

- animated series for children (including the multigenerational series "Reksio", "Bolek and Lolek" or a cartoon series for children 2 cats + 1 dog),

- feature classics by outstanding Polish filmmakers, i.e. Wojciech Jerzy Has, Jerzy Skolimowski, Andrzej Munk, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Janusz Morgenstern, Stanisław Różewicz, Kazimierz Kutz, Andrzej Kondratiuk, Lech Majewski, Krzysztof Zanussi, Feliks Falk, Filip Bajon, and many others ,

- films present in pop culture consciousness, incl. directed by: Stanisław Bareja, Marek Koterski, Jacek Bromski.

As part of the Platform, audiovisual materials will be made available, the rights of which are owned by the Documentary and Feature Film Studio and the Cartoon Film Studio in Bielsko-Biała.

On 35mm.online, film materials are published in the original aspect ratio resulting from the photosensitive material used, i.e. film strip and the type of camera. The most common aspect ratio is 4: 3; 2.39: 1; 5: 3 and 16: 9.

Modern televisions are adapted to display the image in 16: 9 aspect ratio and if you want to display the image in the original aspect ratio and without losing the frame, horizontal black stripes are used at the top and bottom of the screen - letterbox (in the case of a widescreen image) or vertical stripes on the sides - pillarbox ( in the case of proportions going to the square). Then the image is displayed in the full operator's frame.
