This book, which is the result of research into the lives of factory workers in cities in East Java, presents answers to the problems faced by workers, how to overcome them, and how an ideal Islamic boarding school education suits their needs.

This book is suitable to be read by students, lecturers, kiai, labor activists, competent governments, as well as observers of religious & social issues.

Sheikh Yusuf Al-Makassari is a historical figure, scholar, Sufi and warrior. He was known as a wandering scholar from one region to another in the country, from one country to another, to learn from qualified scholars. After studying religion in Makassar, his thirst for religious knowledge continued to Banten and Aceh, as well as Arab countries, especially Hadramaut (Yemen), and succeeded in writing dozens of works.

Sheikh Yusuf died in Cape Town, South Africa after being exiled by the Dutch colonial authorities due to his preaching and struggle with the Sultan of Banten. During his four years in Cape Town, Sheikh Yusuf succeeded in building a solid Muslim community, so that the South African government awarded him the title of national hero. Former President Nelson Mandela called Sheikh Yusuf one of his inspirations in the struggle for independence and equal rights in South Africa.

This book presents Shaykh Yusuf's views on religious ethics from the tarekat/sufism perspective. Packaged in light and easy language and can be accounted for morally and scientifically-academicly.
