This is the book Al-Mujam ash-Shaghir by or composed by Al-Hafiz Sulaiman B. Ahmad ath-Thabrani Rahimahullah (Died: 360H). In it he recorded various lessons he received from his teachers in various cities. He issued one hadith (or more) from each of his teachers. Then later he compiled these hadiths in his book based on the arrangement of their names.

In addition, pentahqiq also provides numbering for the hadiths in it, mentions the validity status of the hadiths, includes other sources for hadiths mentioned by Imam ath-Thabrani, and several others.
