The goal of the application is to raise the users' awareness of the effects of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The application approximately calculates the time that your body needs to be sober and informs about the legal consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Alkotest results should be treated only as a guide and can not be used to assess the level of alcohol in the blood or in the exhaled breath.

The calculations performed by the application use the formula of Erik Widmark (https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zawarto%C5%9%C4%87_alkoholu_we_krwi), which is used to calculate the theoretical alcohol content in blood and calculate the simulation of the drop in blood alcohol level over time.

If you have consumed alcohol, never sit behind the wheel of the car.

To perform a simulation, Alkotest requires a few basic information about yourself (age, weight and sex) and the type, amount and period of alcohol consumption.

Remember to be prudent and always be moderate when consuming alcohol.

All kinds of applications - "breathalyzers" available on the Internet, just like Alkotest, only provide an approximate result. They do not take into account many individual factors affecting the metabolism of the human body. The result of the breathalyser used, e.g. by the police, always overrides the on-line breathalyser. If you have any doubts about whether you should get behind the wheel, do not do it!
