"A few words about Heraklion"

Heraklion capital with 300,000 inhabitants, is located in the central part of Crete.

Its area is 2,640 sq.km with a coastline of over 250 km. It has 7 provinces : Viannou, Kainouriou, Monofatsiou, Maleviziou, Temenous, Pirgiotissis and Pediados.
