Altitude: Altimeter & Routes

Altitude shows your altitude, speed and heading in real time, and records your hikes, runs and rides with the accuracy of your phone’s barometer.

Everything you need on one screen

• Altitude, speed, average speed, elapsed time and heading, live

• Current address and coordinates in DD, DMS, DDM or UTM

• Slope, plus sunrise and sunset times where you are

Record your routes

• Keeps recording in the background with the screen off, with a notification that has a Stop button

• Total ascent and descent, highest and lowest point, moving time, average and maximum speed

• Mark waypoints along the way

• Review every route on a street or topographic map, coloured by speed or altitude

• Altitude and speed charts by distance or time

Altitude you can trust

GPS altitude can be off by tens of metres. If your phone has a barometer, Altitude uses it for smooth, precise changes and anchors it to the terrain elevation from Open-Meteo, so the absolute value stays right. Without a barometer it combines GPS with the elevation model. After each route it can refine the altitude profile, and you can also choose GPS only.
