Amfo'an [aoz-FG] is spoken in the mountains of northwest

Timor, NTT province, Indonesia, in the districts of

Southern Amfo'ang, Central Amfo'ang, Northern

Amfo'ang, Eastern Amfo'ang, Northwest Amfo'ang, and

Southwest Amfo'ang.

The Amfo'an language is part of the Meto language

cluster, which can also be thought of as a language or

dialect chain. There are 14 dialects of Amfo'an, each with

their own special sounds and words. There are around

20,000 speakers of Amfo'an.
