Anchr - know your surroundings

We are not just a map application, we want to expand on what you can do with location data. Bringing lasting value to sharing, keeping you up to date with your friends and influencers, discovering things new and old, digitalizing word of mouth.

In this first release we are focusing on three major themes:

COLLABORATION / LIST BUILDING AND SHARING

You’re in town with a lot of options for lunch but no clue where to go. You pop up anchr and find that one of your close friends have created a list of the best vegetarian restaurants. Two of them is very close to where you are!

FOLLOWING YOUR FRIENDS AND INFLUENCERS

You’re on the subway/bus/uber surfing away on your phone. You get a notification from anchr that a blogger you are following just added a couple of new stores to her list. You gotta check them out! You add them to your bucket list you created on anchr.

FINDING AND DISCOVERING THINGS

You’re in a neighbourhood on the other side of town leaving a customer meeting and need to find grocery store before you leave for home. Your search on anchr brings up all shops nearby, you start navigation in the google maps app directly using a link in anchr.

Our mission at Anchr is to transform the way we use information about locations. We want location information to be more free, easier to share and collaborate around, easier for sub-communities to build their own view of the world and allow better ways to recommend and find new places.
