AppERIIF

AppERIIF is a tool developed for the economic evaluation of the impact of fire on forest scenarios, calculating the measurement of losses in both resources market and not market, by fire occurred.

Developed in the financial framework of these projects:

1. Interreg-POCTEP, Iberian Centre for Researcg and Forest Firefighting "CILIFO"

2. Feder-INIA, Developing efficient methodologies to reduce the impact of forest fires though integrated management, RTA2014-00011-C06 "GEPRIF"

3. Feder-INIA, Comprehensive vulnerability of forest systems to fire: Implications for forest management tools, RTA2017-00042-C05-04 "VIS4FIRE"

AppERIIF is the result of the integration of an econometric sets algorithms, which provide economic depreciation of each natural resources considered, depending on the length of the flame (m) generated by the fire propagation.

The development of the tool has been leadered by Professor Dr. Fco Rodríguez and Silva and researcher Dr. Juan Ramón Molina Martínez, from Forest Fire Laboratory of Forest Engineering Department, University of Córdoba, Spain.

The tool has been developed by Antonio Visa, Software Engineer.
