AppTCR

Welcome to the AppTCR software for a fast prediction of fire behavior associated with forest ecosystems. Developed with the financial framework support of the Interreg- POCTEP project "Iberian Center for Research and Figth against Forest Fires, CILIFO".

App TCR is a tool developed for the prediction of rate of spread, length of the flame and spotting of the forest fires. The inputs that the users need to know to run the software are the following: fuel model, slope (%), moisture of

the dead fine fuel (<6mm), midflame wind speed. The outputs generated by the App are: rate of spread (m/min), length of the flame (m), and spot fire distance (km) developed from the head of the fire propagation.

The calculations obtained corresponding to the quick calculation tables (TCR), have gotten through the Visual-FUEGO computer program

(http://franciscorodriguezysilva.com/laboratorio/software/).

The application has been made for the following forest fuel modeling classification options: Behave System and UCO40 System.

The development of AppTCR has been leadered by Professor Dr. Fco. Rodriguez and Silva and researcher Dr. Juan Ramón Molina Martinez, from

Forest Fire Laboratory of Forest Engineering Department, University of Córdoba, Spain.
