Our client has developed an innovative smart water meter with features like water leak detection and remote valve control. This has attracted major industry players, indicating potential integration with advanced technologies.

Installation Challenges:

Smart water meters are often installed in areas with intermittent power and weak Wi-Fi signals. To address this, GSM mobile SIM cards were incorporated. However, high GSM power consumption posed a challenge. Although self-powering when water flows, GSM communication consumes significant power, resulting in once-daily data transmission, except during events like flood alerts.
