CPoCUS Practical Exam

The mission of the Canadian Point-of-Care Ultrasound Society (CPoCUS) is to promote the safe and effective use of point-of-care ultrasound.

The CPoCUS practical examinations are the benchmarks to ensure that a candidate (an Independent Practitioner) has the skills needed to generate determinate images. We have strived to make these exams objective, simple and clear.

This app implements an e-form that guides a CPoCUS examiner and candidate through each of the practical sonography exams. These include Abdominal, Aortic, Cardiac, Obstetrics (1st trimester), Pleural Effusion and Pneumothorax exams. It calculates a performance score and assessment at the completion of each exam, and automatically generates an email message to communicate the result.
