Guilt Trip

Set a time budget for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok — the works. When you

scroll past the limit, a Judgy character pops up and roasts you until you

close the app.

You picked the app. You picked the timer. Judgy character just keeps the

promise you made to yourself.

━━━ HOW IT WORKS ━━━

1. Pick which social apps to monitor. Default: 12 of the usual suspects.

2. Set a time budget per app. 1 seconds to 60 minutes, your call.

3. Open Instagram / TikTok / YouTube / whatever. Scroll away.

4. When your timer runs out, Judgy Cat appears. Tap "Fine, I'll close it"

to head back to your home screen — or "5 more minutes" if the guilt

isn't landing yet.

That's the complete list. We don't scan your other installed apps —

we can't, and we're not asking for permission to.

━━━ WHAT WE ACTUALLY SEE ━━━

Guilt Trip needs one Android permission called "Usage access" to know

which app is on top of your screen. That's it. We see:

✓ Which app you're currently in

✓ How long you've been in it

We do NOT see:

✗ Anything you scroll, type, watch, or post

✗ Messages, photos, contacts, or calendar

✗ Your location or network activity

Nothing leaves your phone. There's no account, no login, no cloud sync.

No analytics. No ads. Ever.

━━━ FOR XIAOMI / MIUI USERS ━━━

On some Xiaomi devices, the system "Display over other apps" toggle

doesn't fully disable Guilt Trip's overlay — that's a Xiaomi behavior,

separate from us. The master switch inside the app always works.

Guilt Trip's Settings screen explains this in more detail.

━━━ WHY A CAT ━━━

Because a wagging finger is annoying, and a Judgy cat is (a little)

funny. Different personas — are in the pipeline for later releases.

━━━ WHAT GUILT TRIP IS NOT ━━━

- Not a therapy app. Not a mental-health tool. Not a substitute for

professional help.

- Not a hard blocker. If you really want to keep scrolling, you can.

We just make sure you're doing it deliberately.

- Not for kids. This is a self-motivation tool.
