Ask Mama

Ask Mama is a mobile application that uses AI Technology to help young women and mothers in Western & Nyanza, to access primary healthcare information from their mobile devices. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), the APP aims to provide free, accurate and immediate solutions to users with questions about maternal & child healthcare; fertility and contraceptives; mental health and HIV/AIDS. Grace (the name of therapist that users engage with on the app) is designed to respond just as a mother would by giving sound advice to users. The App eventually connects users to the right health providers, who can give you further medical attention depending on their location and issue. Grace can also be a friend who eventually becomes part of the user's life and provides a safe space for them to confide in the app and be assured of anonymity so that they never have to feel alone, stigmatized, stranded or depressed.
