Leave the laptop behind. Astro Capture runs your ZWO ASI astronomy camera straight from your Android phone or tablet — no PC to haul into the cold, no bulky setup, no laptop battery dying mid-session. Connect the camera, frame your target and start shooting in seconds.

Image the Moon, planets, the Sun and deep-sky objects, and save everything in the formats your stacking software expects — TIFF, FITS, DNG and SER — ready to process at home. You get full manual control of exposure, gain, resolution and more, in a clean red night-vision interface that protects your dark adaptation in the field.

NEW — Live Stacking (EAA):

Point at a faint deep-sky target and tap Stack. Astro Capture aligns and combines each incoming frame in real time, building one clean image as you watch — random noise falls roughly with the square root of the number of frames (around 100 frames is about 10x cleaner than a single sub), so dim galaxies and nebulae emerge live on your screen. Frames are aligned and combined automatically, and bad frames — satellites, planes, or shots spoiled by clouds or a knock — are rejected. The result saves as a 16-bit FITS — and you can also stack an already-recorded SER video into one clean image straight from the Gallery. Alignment is translation-only in this release (best for equatorial mounts or shorter alt-az sessions), and mono or colour frames are stacked as luminance. Live Stacking is a Pro feature.

NEW — Remote Control (Wi-Fi):

Run the whole session from a bigger screen. Switch on Web Control and open the address the app shows in any web browser on the same Wi-Fi — your PC, laptop, tablet or a second phone. The live preview, the full camera settings, the histogram and your gallery all appear on the large display, while the phone stays at the telescope and you stay warm and comfortable. There's nothing to install (you can even add it to your home screen like an app), the live preview is hardware-accelerated, and you can download your captures straight to the computer. Remote Control is a Pro feature.
