Autism Barta

“Autism Barta”, a mobile (smart-phone or tablet) based interactive, community-based screening tool (mobile application) which will streamline referrals for Autism assessment and intervention. Community health workers (or parents) will use Autism Barta in rural settings to screen children for possible autism. Once a child screens positive, Autism Barta will connect the family with Autism resources (i.e. nearby Assessment and Intervention Centre) for diagnosis and intervention. The application will provide tracking system for every child who are diagnosed with autism. The application will also automatically send proper information from time to time to the phone of the parents. Thus, it will become easier for them to address the concerns and provide proper information as well as autism awareness and education to the families.
