AV8 Designer Wing Tip Sensor

The AV8 Designer Wing Protection System is a set of hardware devices that mount on aircraft wing tips to detect proximity to collision hazards during aircraft ground movement operations. The system is design to help prevent wing tip collisions and expensive repair bills.

The wing sensors provide visual and audio alerts of potential obstacles. These alerts are also provided to this app, which runs on Android tablets and smart phones. The app communicates wirelessly with wing tip sensors to display similar visual and audio alerts on the Android device and provide other control features.
